Maybe something feels stuck; in your life, your work, or yourself. Maybe you’re leading something and the weight of it is getting heavier. Maybe you’re building something and you need someone to think alongside you. Maybe you’re a practitioner who needs a space with someone that really gets the kind of work you do. Maybe you’re an organisation that knows something needs to change but isn’t sure where to start. Maybe you’re looking to bridge the gap between your values and your practice.
[ IN PRACTICE ]
This is where the thinking becomes visible.
Over two decades of work; alongside communities, in therapy rooms, within and outside of organisations, and on the streets. I have been writing, speaking, building, and reflecting, and this section brings that together.
It is not a portfolio, it’s a body of practice in motion.
When you’re deep in practice and leadership, it’s hard to find the time and space to document, share, and publish your thinking. I’m hoping to build on this now.

I have recently signed a publishing deal for an anthology I am co-editing with Dr Yansie Rolston called Roots, Rhythm and Resistance: Young Black Voices on Mental Health, Wellbeing, Culture and Care. The book brings together contributions from Black children and young people across the UK; sharing their lived experiences of mental health, identity, culture, and the systems they navigate — alongside voices from practitioners, community organisations, and professionals who are part of creating change. A publication date will be shared here when confirmed.

Partisan was a Black-led Community Interest Company I founded in 2020. For five and a half years we designed alternative help systems alongside Black and minoritised communities across South London and beyond. The website remains live as a record of that work.

In 2026 I was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship to explore community-led approaches to mental health and healing in the Caribbean. Each country holds a different relationship to slavery and colonialism and has developed distinct ways of building care in resistance to what was imposed on them. I want to learn from that in a genuine, non-extractive way; exchanging learning bi-directionally, because both the Caribbean and the UK have things to offer each other. The alternative help systems that Black communities need don’t yet exist at scale in the UK, but the Caribbean has been building them for generations. The learning from this journey will be shared here.
